Do I Need a Spiritual Mentor?
I Am My Brother's Keeper?
Welcome to our blog. We hope that while you are here you hear something that will encourage your spirit and give you a hunger and thirst for the word of God. It's always good to have someone to help mentor and guide you through some of life's painful and inspiring lessons. Someone who demonstrates a maturity in Christ that helps to elevate you in your walk and relationship with our Lord. This site is designed to offer insight in how to select and find such a person in today's world. We pray our words and deeds line up with the commission that God has already outlined in his precious word. I'm reminded of the relationship of Paul and Timothy where Paul extended to Timothy his experience and knowledge of Christ to further Timothy's growth and faith in Christ. Today it appears that everyone wants to be the authority on God's word but not under the authority of God's word. Words are powerful and we must choose them prayerfully because there are souls at stake. It is not about us that should be our focus but on the souls that are ready to be harvested. As we take a look at the current situation in our country it should alert us all that Christ is soon to return. The state of man has already been prophesied in his word and you need only look out of the window to see that it is right on point. But don't be discouraged God has not abandoned us nor left us alone in this world of hate and uncertainty. He has activated his remnant to rise up and be that beacon of hope that he is still God and in full control. If you are feeling weak in your faith find someone who is stronger than you and are living what they profess and pray together for strength and wisdom. Want a quick check or self assessment remember this "you are who you attract" so if you are a negative person guess who will be attracted to you? If you want to quit guess what type of people will be attracted to you? etc. Take a moment and look at what it is that attracts others to you. We must continue to be vigilant and watchful in this uncertain world we now live. Everyday is a challenge to our faith and trust in God. We need each other more than ever. As the word tells us there is strength in unity so let us find ways to stay connected in the word.
